Description
La Flibuste 1998 embodies the soul of old Martinique rum in its noblest form. Aged for around 20 years in ex-cognac oak barrels , this AOC Martinique agricultural rum is column distilled from pure fresh cane juice on the family lands of La Favorite .
Each bottle is carefully hand-waxed, numbered, and reveals the care of craftsmanship faithful to its roots.
La Flibuste 1998 retains the typical style of the La Flibuste collection. The nose reveals notes of prune, cocoa, vanilla and precious wood , enriched with a hint of candied fruit. On the palate, the attack is round, almost melting, between dark chocolate, liquorice and dried fruits . The finish, long and structured, mixes blond tobacco, sweet cinnamon and a hint of rancio.
