Selected by the Japan Import System , the Neisson Vintage 2003 is a single cask AOC Martinique , distilled in 2003 and aged 8 years in oak barrels , before being bottled at cask strength at 46.9% in 2010 , a Japanese rarity in limited edition.
Its light golden color precedes an elegant nose dominated by tropical fruits, caramel, vanilla, orange peel and toasted hazelnuts , emphasizing the roundness of the cane sugar rather than the vegetal side . On the palate, the nectar unfolds on sweet spices, subtle cocoa and a light smoke , continuing with a long, woody and warmly spicy finish .
