Description
The Neisson 2004 Single Cask is an AOC Martinique aged agricultural rum, distilled in a Creole column from pure cane juice. Aged for 11 years in a single bourbon barrel (Buffalo Trace), it was bottled in July 2015 at 45.4% cask strength , without any reduction. This limited edition of 498 numbered bottles is a testament to the pure expression of wood and time.
Its golden color with amber highlights precedes a deep nose: vanilla, soft caramel, cocoa, and dried apricot invite themselves. On the palate, it is a sovereign balance: dark chocolate, spiced honey, candied citrus zest, anise. The finish, persistent and racy, mixes toasted wood, sweet pepper and minty freshness in a remarkable melt.
