Belonging to the highly sought-after "Libération" series, this rum is bottled at a high proof, offering a powerful and authentic expression of the terroir and the unique know-how of Rhum Rhum.

Distilled at the Bielle distillery (Marie-Galante ), this is an agricultural rum fermented for up to ten days, then aged for 5 years in Sauternes barrels (Château d'Yquem/Domaine Leflaive) . Bottled in full strength (cask strength) at 59.8% in 2012, this rare vintage is limited to 1,420 copies.

Its dark amber color reflects great intensity. On the nose, it releases a profile that is both vegetal and fruity: plums, peaches, lime, citrus , spicy and woody, with touches of caramel and toasted nuts . On the palate, the attack is powerful, expressive: vanilla, salted caramel, mandarin , followed by a well-structural tannic hint. The finish is long, slightly astringent, enhanced with spices and a hint of wood (tea, tobacco), always supported by a pleasant freshness .
