The 2002 Bielle rum is a remarkable vintage that stands out as one of the most powerful and elegant expressions of the Marie-Galante distillery. This brut de fût aged rum aged for 12 years in oak barrels , before being bottled at 52.8% in an elegant carafe. Distilled from pure cane juice, it reveals a perfect mastery of the tropical climate and local know-how.
The nose is lively and generous, blending candied fruits, leather, black liquorice and peppery spices . The palate, ample and dense, offers layers of blond tobacco, nutmeg, orange marmalade and bitter chocolate . The very long finish reveals woody notes , a hint of roasted coffee and a discreet minty freshness.
