La Favorite 's Flibuste 1994 is a rare expression of Martinique's expertise, distilled from pure sugar cane juice and aged for around 30 years in oak barrels that previously contained cognac.

Column distillation, faithful to the tradition of La Favorite, is combined here with a long tropical rest, revealing a rum of remarkable complexity. Bottled at 40% vol. , each bottle is hand-waxed, numbered, and offered in a limited edition, the exact number of which has not been disclosed.

On the nose, aromas of candied prune, bitter cocoa, woody vanilla and delicate rancio are revealed. On the palate, licorice and dried fruits intertwine with nuances of honey and leather . The finish, persistent and round, evokes blond tobacco, cinnamon and melted oak.
