Like a horizon line between earth and sky, this vintage marks a peak in the art of Guadeloupean aging. Montebello Horizon is an agricultural rum from Guadeloupe, bottled at cask strength after 20 years of aging exclusively in ex-bourbon and ex-cognac barrels, with a 3-month finish in Rye Whiskey barrels , revealing a rare complexity. Produced from a single barrel, this single cask is presented in a numbered decanter in a precious wooden case: it is a limited edition of 90 copies .

Its dark color opens onto a warm nose, where candied orange, marmalade, warm spices , raisins and very ripe apples play with floral nuances. On the palate, we find a dense and velvety texture: dark chocolate , roasted coffee , tobacco , enhanced with notes of ginger and sweet spices , then a long and gourmet finish of dried apricot, mango and smoked liquorice .
